Gallimaufry Performing Arts is casting Damn Yankees, the story of a retired baseball player who sells his soul to the devil for a chance to help his beloved Washington Senators win the World Series.
Steve Josephson, dir.; Andrew Ruesch, choreo. Rehearsals start June 21st. Performances run in Laguna Beach from July 22nd to August 1st.

Mr. Applegate: (LEAD) The Devil who disguises himself as a salesman to trick Joe
Meg Boyd: Joe’s devoted wife
Gloria Thorpe: A hard-hitting reporter, sings “Shoeless Joe”
Van Buren: The Manager of the Washington Senators, sings “Heart”
Eddie: featured dancer who sings “Who’s Got the Pain?” with Lola
Welch: The team’s owner
BASEBALL PLAYERS: male, must move well, featured roles include
Rocky, Smokey, Sohovik, Henry, Linville, Lowe, Bouley, Vernon and Mickey, all sizes encouraged to audition

Callbacks will be scheduled later that day, and, if needed, Sunday, June 13th.
The director and choreographer will run the audition.
FOR OPEN DANCE CALL AT 10:00 AM – bring clothes that you can move in, and your choice of appropriate dance shoe. If you also sing, please schedule an appointment for a singing audition.
FOR SINGING CALL - Prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo song, and bring the sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. If you have a headshot and resume please bring them, and an additional photo will be taken of you at the audition.
